An iconic San Francisco hotel has created a culinary masterpiece in time for Christmas. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the Fairmont for its annual gingerbread house display. The creation is 22 feet high and 23 feet wide, made with almost 8000 pieces of gingerbread, 1500 pounds of icing and 700 pounds of candy. The hotel's pastry shop spent weeks whipping up the holiday display.
The Fairmont said this is largest gingerbread house in California. It will be on display in the hotel lobby, where gingerbread tea is also available for guests throughout the holiday season.
