The Rees Hotel Queenstown has been voted one of the top hotels in New Zealand by two major online booking agencies once again, as assessed by the international travelling public. The Rees was one of only 15 New Zealand hotels to gain the top Gold rating in Hotels.com’s Loved by Guests Awards 2016 and has been voted in one of only 25 New Zealand hotels recognised by Trip Advisors’ 2016 Travellers Choice Awards.
The Hotels.com programme celebrates hotels with the best review scores from 20 million genuine traveller reviews with the top gong requiring an average guest review rating of 4.7 or higher out of five.
Within the list to attain Gold status that included hotels from 94 countries around the world, only four were from New Zealand and of that four, The Rees Hotel was the only one chosen from Queenstown.
Trip Advisor's worldwide award listings this year includes The Rees, with over 1000 traveller reviews of 1600, giving The Rees an Excellent rating, the highest Trip Advisor score. The Rees is currently listed as 8th of 56 hotels listed by Trip Advisor in Queenstown.
