HOLIDAY HIGHWAY MOTEL ON THE MARKET

A busy motel on the main route between Blenheim and Christchurch has been placed on the market for sale.

Admirals Motor Lodge at 161 Middle Renwick Road in the Blenheim suburb of Springlands is a leased 20-unit accommodation provider sitting on 3,650 square metres of land close to Blenheim Airport and on the main route out of the city.

The motel is configured into a single three-bedroom unit, five two-bedroom units, three single-bedroom units, and 11 studio units – all fitted out with kitchenette amenities.

Combined, the accommodation buildings provided 1,600 square metres of floor space. Recreational facilities at the Middle Renwick Rd site include a swimming pool and spa.

The business has been placed on the market for sale for $765,000 plus GST through Bayleys Marlborough. Salesperson Grant Baxter said the business had 24 years remaining on its lease.

He said that in addition to the commercial accommodation, the venue had a three-bedroom owner/manager’s residence.

“Admirals Motor Lodge is located in Springlands, which is a very popular and well-established suburb with on-going development. It is just 25 minutes from the Picton ferry terminal,” said Baxter.

“The business has delivered excellent revenues and occupancy rates.”

The venue also has two conference room facilities suitable for hosting board meetings, training sessions and even small wedding receptions. The board room can seat up to 15 people seated in lecture, theatre-style or boardroom layouts.

Meanwhile, the conference room can seat up to 50 people in U-shaped, lecture, theatre, café, or boardroom layouts. Separate male and female toilets are located within the conference building.
