Monteith’s Sparkling Cider started with a simple idea: to create a cider moment that can be used to celebrate everyday occasions.
The cider makers at Monteith’s have crafted a cider that is not only a pleasure to drink, they have come up with a whole new way to experience cider, with the unveiling of Monteith’s first foray into Sparkling Cider. This September, Monteith’s are excited to introduce their new range of Sparkling Ciders - Brut Cuvée and Rosé Cuvée.
Inspired by the sparkling wine occasion, the new premium Monteith’s Sparkling Cider range is a refreshing new take on the traditional celebration occasion. Crafted using hand-picked apples from the Nelson region, a delicate blend of apple wines and the addition of wine yeast to create an 8 percent ABV cider. Bottled under cork and cage, and with suggested serving in a flute, these ciders offer a sophisticated alternative for your everyday celebration.
Monteith’s Brut Cuvée is a dry style cider with elegant apple notes and medium body. Freshly pressed apples give the ‘Brut’ a tantalising apple aroma which is evident from the moment you pop the cork. The 8 percent ABV, provides more occasions to enjoy a glass of bubbles – compared to grape alternatives some 30 percent higher in ABV.
The second variant is Monteith’s Rosé Cuvée which is an easy drinking style, with aromas of apple and subtle hints of cranberry for an elegant finish. Using the best North American Cranberries, which help produce a beautiful blush colouring and subtle berry aroma and flavour.

Monteith’s Sparkling Cider both the Brut Cuvée and Rosé Cuvée are a cork and cage 750ml bottle, at 8 percent ABV. Available from supermarkets, liquor retailers and at select bars around the country for RRP $12.99 from 11th September.
