Tourism Industry Aotearoa announced that New Zealand’s biggest annual tourism trade show is returning to Rotorua next year. The 2019 event will take place 13-16 May at Rotorua’s Energy Events Centre.
“Rotorua is a fantastic host region, and we are excited to be taking TRENZ back there next year. With the strong support of Destination Rotorua, we will be able to showcase some of New Zealand’s most exceptional tourism experiences to our international guests,” said Tourism Industry Aotearoa Chief Executive Chris Roberts.
Following the 2019 event, the 2020 conference will be in Christchurch, the first time since the 2011 earthquakes that TRENZ will be held in the city.
“Taking TRENZ back to Christchurch has been a long held-wish and is a great opportunity to showcase the city’s recovery to the international market,” said Roberts.
The announcement came alongside the beginning of TRENZ 2018, which kicked off today in Dunedin.
