New Zealand accommodation company, Scenic Hotel Group, has upgraded its booking and distribution technology across its 18 properties.

They have signed with RMS- The Hospitality Cloud, an entirely cloud-based platform that manages multiple properties and works real-time on any device.

“We were looking for a more robust and flexible integrated Property Management System to better facilitate the booking, distribution and marketing of our products,” Scenic’s IT Manager Chris Clayton said.

“Easy and immediate access to data was also an important consideration. RMS was able to provide that while the ‘plug and play’ nature of their browser-based system ensures that it’s always on and staff find it easy to use. We were also impressed with their flexible attitude.”

The rollout of the system, including installation and training, begins mid-year across the Scenic Hotels network which includes Heartland Hotels, Scenic Hotels, Suites and Resorts and the Te Waonui Forest Retreat, and is expected to be fully completed by November.

It is the first major account win in New Zealand for the global software company based in Australia. Over 4,500 properties in 25 countries use the system, providing them with the ability to have online bookings, channel management and a front office system in a single application.
