Hyatt owned Grand Hyatt Singapore and Andaz Singapore have both joined the global initiative against caged eggs. The hotels have committed to switching to 100 percent cage-free eggs by 2025 or earlier.

Animal protection organisation, Humane Society International, has welcomed the announcement and praised the hotel for taking a leadership position against caged eggs in Singapore’s hospitality sector.

Hilton Hotel Group leads the charge against caged eggs – promising to be cage-free globally by the end of this year. InterContinental Hotels Group and Wyndham Hotels aim to be cage-free by 2025, and AccorHotels hopes to get there by 2028.
