South Australian start-up, Escapod, has launched its first pod hotel.
Adelaide vineyard, The Vineyard Retreat at Blewitt Springs installed the Escapod, a movable, prefabricated, off-grid, luxury hotel room. Escapod’s construction process is extremely quick, taking just 10 weeks to set up. The entire Escapod covers about 70 square metres and packs in a living room, a dining room and bedroom, all fully furnished. The building also offers all the luxuries one expects in an upscale hotel room, with under-floor heating, integrated appliances, custom joinery and views of the winery.
While Escapod is still a prototype at this point, more units will be constructed near Adelaide starting next month.
