NEEDLE FOUND IN GUEST BED

A sewing needle has been found in a guest’s mattress in the five-star Longchamp Garden in China’s Hunan Province. A guest was injured during the incident and concerns around security have been raised. The needle was reported to appear the same as the type the hotel provides in its sewing kit yet it remains unknown how the needle ended up in the mattress. The hotel has confirmed the needle did not come from the guest’s sewing kit, which was reportedly unopened.

“We don’t know where the mysterious needle came from. If someone hid it on the mattress on purpose, then there’s a risk of being infected by other unknown diseases,” said one of the guests.

The hotel has apologised for the incident and admitted the room was inspected poorly. The guest’s room fee has been offered to be returned, and the guest has asked the hotel to take responsibility should any further injuries be discovered after blood tests.
