THIRD VOCO COMING TO AUSTRALIA

After signing hotels in Surfer’s Paradise and Yarra Valley, IHG has signed its third voco hotel in Melbourne Central.

The ‘380 Melbourne’ skyscraper, developed from the Brady Group which is still under construction will house the new 252-room voco Melbourne Central.

“voco is inspired by the Latin for ‘come together’, so we are excited to introduce a plan for Melbournians, Australians and guests from around the world to do just that,” said Abhijay Sandilya, senior director of development Australasia, IHG.

“The signing continues the rapid growth of the voco brand since it launched in June, complementing the upcoming voco Gold Coast which will be the first voco in the world when it opens later in 2018.”

The hotel will include rooms inspired around the concept ‘Me Time’, including premium beds, high-quality showers, and ‘innovative lighting’.

“Melbourne is famous for its distinctive, individual character and standing out from the crowd. 380 Melbourne is Brady Group’s largest project to date and will be an icon on the Melbourne skyline, so we knew we needed a distinctive brand like voco to complement its high end residential and retail,” said Tony Brady, managing director, Brady Group.
