Westin Brisbane opens its doors

Marriott has opened Westin Brisbane, the brand’s first hotel in Queensland. With 260 guest rooms and 39 suites which offer floor-to-ceiling windows, the hotel is designed with well-being front-of-mind. The property includes Australia’s first Heavenly Spa by Westin, four dining outlets, and a luxurious open pool deck.

Australian Tourism Industry Development Minister Kate Jones supported the opening of the five-star Westin Hotel, the sixth new property in the inner city this year.

“We’re having a dream run with the world-renowned Westin Hotels and Resorts opening their first hotel in Queensland in Mary Street today,” Jones said.

“This five-star, 299-room hotel is a ringing endorsement of Brisbane’s growing reputation as a world-class tourist destination.

“It adds to our already impressive portfolio of hotels that are transforming the profile of Brisbane as a global hub for tourism and major events."
