The world’s first voco hotel has opened its door on Australia’s Surfers Paradise. The hotel has 389 rooms all within walking distance of the iconic beaches in the Surfers Paradise precinct.

It is the first voco property to open, with two other Australian signings in Yarra Valley and the Melbourne CBD opening in the next few years. With six signings to date and four more properties rebranding in the UK, voco expects to have more than fifteen hotels signed by the end of the year.

A unique feature that distinguishes voco Gold Coast from other properties is its on-site beehives which produce honey to be used throughout the hotel.

“As one of Australia’s all-time favourite holiday destinations, we are very excited to be introducing the voco brand across the much-loved Gold Coast, Quintessentially Australian, the Gold Coast offers travellers the ultimate getaway with warm weather, amazing beaches and several great ways to have fun. This perfectly aligns with the new voco hotel – a fun, spirited, upscale offering,” Brenden van Blerk, general manager, voco Gold Coast.
