Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel opens new suites

US Ambassador to New Zealand, Scott Brown, officially opened Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel's three new luxury junior suites in front of an audience of almost 100 guests.

“When we purchased the hotel in April 2016 it was our vision to create these suites, and we are elated this has now been realised,” said Michael Patterson of Patterson Hospitality of Christchurch.

The suites each feature striking views of Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Cecil Peak, and overlook the Queenstown Recreational Ground. All the suites have individual gas fireplaces and open balconies, as well as high-quality fixtures, furnishings and king-size bedding, and an emphasis on Kiwi made items.

Queenstown’s winter weather proved a challenge to the construction, but the project was managed ably.

“The heavy snowfall on September 17 set us back a little, however, our architects, building contractors and Fran’s team pulled together to get the project back on track.”

The next project in the pipeline is a complete rebranding, being led by brother Thomas Patterson.

“Initial concepts have already been developed and they will bring a fresh new presentation to the hotel,” said Thomas Patterson.
