Oceania grows its lead in the Asia Pacific

The latest STR Global Hotel Review shows Australia and Oceania are still performing ahead of every other Asia Pacific region in occupancy rates, ADR and RevPAR.

Year-to-date at the end of October 2018, Australia and Oceania hotels boasted occupancy rates of 75.5 percent, ARD of USD$154.16 (NZD225.57) and RevPAR of USD$116.47 (NZD170.42). The biggest increase is in RevPAR which increased 2.1 percent year-to-date.

Overall in the Asia Pacific region, October 2018 saw occupancy increase 1.6 percent over October 2017, ADR also increased by 1.5 percent and RevPAR shot up 3 percent. Australasia and Ocean hotels were 5.6 percent ahead of the Asia Pacific average in occupancy rates, $18.12 (USD) ahead in ADR, and $21.11 (USD) in RevPAR.
