Heritage Christchurch has been awarded the Luxury Heritage Hotel award for the Australasia region for the third year running at the World Luxury Hotel Awards 2018.

The win comes on a run of wins for the hotel, which recently took out the Heritage Tourism category award at the Canterbury Heritage Awards.

“Securing a trifecta of wins over the last three years at the World Luxury Hotel Awards is very rewarding, especially this year, so soon after the wonderful recognition in the Canterbury Heritage Awards,” said Gary Jarvis, chief operating officer, Heritage Hotel Management Ltd.

“It makes the time and care to maintain a landmark historic building all the more worthwhile.”

Heritage Christchurch resides in a 105-year-old former government building on Cathedral Square. The property is category one protected and is the city’s only heritage building to survive the seismic events of 2011 largely intact.
