Rooms closing at Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown for strengthening work

Over half of Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown’s rooms will be closed from the end of February for strengthening work after two of the hotel’s wings were deemed earthquake-prone.

The hotel recently identified the issue in a consulting engineer’s report as part of plans to upgrade the wings. Across the east and west wings, 89 rooms will be affected by the strengthening process. The remaining 76 rooms, conference, restaurant and bar facilities.
