TripAdvisor has unveiled its 2019 Travellers’ Choice Awards, recognising the website’s highest rated hotels based on millions of reviews written over the last year by travellers.
Tulemar Bungalows & Villas in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica was the highest rated hotel across the globe, holding a perfect 5.0 rating after 3,012 reviews.
In the South Pacific region, Sydney’s Ovolo Woolloomooloo took out the top spot. Ovolo Woolloomooloo was voted third place in last year's 2018 Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Quest Rotorua Central won the highest spot of the New Zealand hotels, landing fifth in the South Pacific.
Millbrook Resort, Distinction Dunedin Hotel, The George Christchurch, Delorenzos Studio Apartments, and Sofitel Wellington all also made the South Pacific top 25 list.
In the small hotels category, Anastasis Apartments in Greece topped the list. South Pacific’s highest rated property was the Bli Bli House Riverside Retreat from Diddillibah, Australia which placed 20th on the Global list.
