Silent auction for Christchurch at The Rees

The Rees Hotel is banding together to raise funds for those affected by the Christchurch shooting. A silent auction, comprised of twenty items, has been organised, with hopes of raising tens of thousands of dollars. All of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Givealittle page for the ‘Christchurch Shooting Victims Fund’.

Mark Rose, CEO of The Rees Hotel, said, “Our team are part of a collective who all share the same wish to support the courageous families who have been left dealing with the devastating aftermath.” In addition to the auction, the True South Dining Room at The Rees is hosting a special Winemakers’ dinner with Pyramid valley from North Canterbury this Friday and proceeds from the VIP event will go to the fund as well.

The items that have been donated to the auction include curated boxed wine, Magnum, Jerobaum and spirit selections, a VIP vineyard tasting, a helicopter flight over Cecil Peak, tickets to premium winemaker showcase events and a five-night stay in a luxury Rees Residence with a personal travel curator on call.
