Trip.com lands in Australia

Online travel agency Trip.com has launched in Australia, competing with Expedia and the Booking Holdings.

Trip.com is owned by CTrip, China’s leader in the online travel booking space.

Australia is the fifth market Trip.com has entered in the last year.

“Trip.com is an app first online travel platform with no booking fees,” said Joanne Heggie, head of marketing, Trip.com at the company’s launch event.

“We are offering competitive pricing for all your travel needs and supporting travellers before, during and after their travels with our 24/7 customer service.”

Trip.com has a network of over 1.2 million hotels across 200 countries and regions.
