After receiving over 100 entries, Qualmark has revealed the finalists for the inaugural 100% Pure New Zealand Experience Awards.
“The finalists have demonstrated how tourism businesses can support not only a positive visitor experience but also a positive host community experience of tourism through the principles manaakitanga, tiaki and whanau,” said Gregg Anderson, general manager, Qualmark.
The winners are set to be announced by Minister of Tourism Kelvin Davis on 1 May.
“Qualmark is New Zealand tourism’s official mark of quality, and through the 100% Experience Awards our members have highlighted the wide range of exceptional New Zealand experiences on offer.”
Accommodation providers among the finalists include Camp Glenorchy, The Rees Hotel, Luxury Apartments & Lakeside Residences. Millbrook Resort, and the Craggy Range Lodge among others.
The judging panel will be made of industry experts such as Stephen England-Hall and Sue Parcell of Tourism New Zealand, Lisa Daniell, head of sustainability at Air New Zealand, and Dr Susanne Becken, director of the Griffith Institute for Tourism.
