Naumi steps up fight against plastics

Naumi Hotels has begun rolling out some new green initiatives.

Firstly, single-use plastic bottled water is being removed in its Singapore and Auckland properties. Instead, guests will be provided reusable water bottles during their stay as a take-home souvenir and can be refilled with drinking water from room taps.

Furthermore, Naumi Hotel Auckland Airport has also dropped plastic straws and switched to using paper straws. Naumi Hotel Singapore will do the same by the next quarter.

Similar to IHG’s Greener Stay, Naumi is offering guests the choice to reuse bedding and towels to save water and energy as well as preventing chemicals used in the washing process.

Plans in the future include replacing all single-use travel-sized bathroom amenities with dispensers, providing reusable tote bags to discourage the use of plastic bags.
