New general manager at Edgewater

Edgewater-Lake Wanaka has appointed Catherine Bone as general manager of the Edgewater Resort Hotel, with her role beginning on 21 May.

“Catherine has a wealth of experiences and skills gained as a general manager in not only New Zealand but also Australia and the UK,” said David Robinson, Chairman of the Board, Edgewater-Lake Wanaka.

Bone most recently worked as the senior lecturer and stream leader at the Pacific International Hotel Management School in New Plymouth.

She has an MBA degree from the University of Cumbria which she completed in 2016, majoring in leadership in sustainability.

“Wanaka is a special place and Edgewater being so well established, I am committed to the role and ensuring that we build on the existing work already done and seeing the Resort go from strength to strength.”

Current general manager Jon Brown is staying in his role for two more weeks to transition the role over to Bone.
