IHG has signed a new voco hotel in Sydney’s CBD. The hotel is part of a 17-storey property mixed-use development with a sloping roof and green waterfalls.

The property was initially planned to open as a Holiday Inn in 2017. However, the development of the precinct exceeded expectations, and the need grew for quality accommodation for business and leisure travellers.

Voco Sydney Central will incorporate all the elements of the ‘Me Time’ theme into the hotel’s 301 guest rooms filled with innovative lighting and user-friendly technology as well as premium beds and showers.

“voco celebrates the individuality of the hotel, stunning location and local people, with each stay tailored to deliver a unique and memorable experience to Sydneysiders, Australians and guests from all around the world,” said Abhijay Sandilya, senior director of development, Australasia, IHG.

“The signing continues the rapid growth of the voco brand since it launched in June 2018, complementing voco Gold Coast, voco Yarra Valley, voco Kirkton and voco Melbourne Central.”
