Changes at Castaways Resort

Castaways Restaurant

Castaways Resorts’ new owners, Marsden Group Limited, acquired the property midway through 2018 and have made many improvements since.

The resort has a refreshed brand and signage and interiors as well as a new fully refurbished restaurant. The restaurant retired the name Agave and welcomed the name Castaways Restaurant & Bar, including new head chef Alit Anggraini, and a new a resort manager John McNaughton.

“Over the last few months, some great changes have been made at Castaways with the investment from our new owners. I am very excited to join the fantastic team at Castaways and lead them into the future,” said John McNaughton, resort manager, Castaways Resort.

“We continue to focus on delivering an excellent customer experience all around, from dining at our beautiful new restaurant through to our accommodation and events, all with a fabulous head chef on board.”

Chef Alit brings a lot of experience working in hotel and resort restaurants in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, as well as across Indonesia.

The refurbed restaurant has interiors which reflect the West Coast’s rugged beauty, as well as its natural elements like wooden floors, tables and panelling.

The Marsden Group plans to continue investing in the Castaways Resorts, with plans to refurbish and upgrade other areas of the resort throughout this year and in 2020.
