Tahiti la Ora Beach Resort set to reopen

Accor has announced that Tahiti la Ora Beach Resort by Sofitel is reopening after completing its multi-million-dollar rejuvenation project.

The resort’s 12 bungalows have all received a makeover in line with the Sofitel brand, updating the properties with refined modern luxury, with its signature touch of French decadence.

The overwater bungalows are designed to be the epitome of a Tahitian getaway. They have all received a stylish makeover which incorporates a chic soft neutral palette and natural materials throughout.

Glass panels in the bungalows will allow guests to admire the underwater flora and multi-coloured fish passing through in the lagoon.

Inside, the 56 square metre bungalows are equipped with a king-size bed and a sofa bed, as well as a bathtub, rain shower and a separate toilet. Each bungalow also features its own private terrace with deckchairs.

“We’re excited to reveal our new-look overwater bungalows, which will surprise and delight our loyal guests and appeal to a new audience of discerning travellers seeking authentic Tahitian luxury experiences,” said Didier Lamoot, general manager, Tahiti la Ora Beach Resort by Sofitel.

“Our designers have worked hard to encapsulate the epitome of a Tahitian escape which is synonymous with an overwater bungalow experience, whilst incorporating the island’s French influence through Sofitel’s renowned, indulgent signature touches.”
