Pullman Auckland to host immersive art evening in celebration of Matariki

Auckland's Pullman Hotel is to celebrate the Māori New Year with an immersive evening of art on June 27th, featuring Michel Tuffery MNZM, one of New Zealand's leading contemporary artists.

Matariki Art Evening will feature a lively showcase of artists both local and international, with artwork displayed alongside live music, Māori performances, and a live art auction in support of Cure Kids New Zealand.

Artists whose work is to be displayed by Pullman Auckland include Lucie Blaze, Tess Costil, Amanda Betts, Johnny Romeo, and Gillie & Marc. Several works will remain on display over the next six months.

Veronique Dellatre, general manager of Pullman Auckland, praised the upcoming exhibition. "What better way to celebrate Māori New Year than through the appreciation of art?" she said. "The main goal behind the Pullman brands’ focus on art is to make people talk, make them share, make them come back, and make them love what they experience.”

Matariki Art Evening will be held on June 27, 2019, from 7 pm to 10.30pm. The entry fee is $99 per person which includes art viewing, access to food stations with modern dishes and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Bookings are required.
