Accor celebrates winning four NZ Hotel Industry Awards

Four managers from Accor have picked up awards at the 2019 New Zealand Hotel Industry Awards.

Jeremy Healy of Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour won the General Manager of the Year Award, while Paul Columbus took home the award for Senior Hotel Executive of the Year, two of the most prestigious awards of the nights.

Nicolette van Lieshout, who works as building futures project manager for Accor’s New Zealand regional office, received the Hotel Industry Administration Employee of the Year.

Finally, Edward Judd, general manager of Novotel & ibis Rotorua, accepted the award for Hotel Industry Regional Hotel Employee of the Year.

“On behalf of the entire company, I congratulate all the winners and nominees in the 2019 New Zealand Hotel Industry Awards,” said Simon McGrath, chief operating officer Pacific, Accor.

“We are extremely proud of our deserving winners and finalists as they are not only our leaders but are important role models for the next generation of hospitality talent.”

There were also Accor staff who were nominated as finalists, including Jim Moore of Novotel Queenstown Lakeside who was a finalist in the General Manager of the Year category and Israel Guido of Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour for Senior Hotel Executive of the Year.
