HILTON LAUNCHES HEATHROW RUNWAY AIRPORT

Hilton's new hotel at Europe's busiest airport will provide guests with direct access to a terminal, allowing them to walk to their departure gates in minutes.

Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminal 2 features runway views from some of its 369 guest rooms, including 23 family rooms and 10 suites. Five meeting rooms will also be available for hire, the largest of which accommodates up to 65 people.

The 14-storey hotel will also feature a 24-hour business centre, a 24-hour grab-and-go retail space featuring fresh foods and specialty coffee, The Apron restaurant, and the Runway Bar.

“More than 80 million people pass through Heathrow every year and we are delighted to offer guests a great accommodation option to make their travel journey that much smoother,” said Simon Vincent, Hilton's Executive Vice President and President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. “Hilton pioneered the concept of the airport hotel back in 1959, so we are proud to be opening the doors to our second Hilton Garden Inn property at Heathrow as we celebrate our 100th Anniversary.”

Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Terminal 2 is one of two airport hotels announced by Hilton, a month after the company's 100th birthday. The other is Hampton by Hilton Toulouse Airport, a 126-room development joining Hampton by Hilton Paris Clichy, which opened earlier this year in the French capital.

Hampton by Hilton Toulouse Airport

“Hampton by Hilton Toulouse Airport is a welcome addition to our growing portfolio in France, where we are set to almost double our number of hotels in the next three to five years,” said Vincent. “With its two UNESCO heritage sites, glorious architecture and fine food, it is no surprise that tourism is increasing to the spectacular and varied city of Toulouse.”

Toulouse is known as 'The Pink City'.
