Marriott has become the latest in a series of hotels to partner up with airlines, providing members with rewards and bonuses.
Following Hyatt's alliance with American Airlines in March, and Accor's partnership with Air France-KLM at the end of June, Marriott has partnered with Dubai-based airline Emirates to create the Your World Rewards partnership.
Elite members of Marriott's Rewards scheme can earn bonus points when booking Emirates flights. In turns, elite members of Emirates' Skywards program can earn extra frequent flyer miles when booking nights in a Marriott hotel.
In addition to points, Marriott elites will also gain priority boarding and check-in at Emirates counters around the world, whilst Skywards elites get late checkout and free Wi-Fi when staying in partner hotels.
