Oyster Festival Matakana is returning for its third year in what is expected to be another healthy dose of vitamin ‘sea’.
In Mahurangi Harbour, the birthplace of oyster farming in New Zealand, foodies will gather to experience a day of feasting on our locally sourced delicacies. The flavoursome treats will be paired with an array of wines and other local products with fun for the whole family. There will be entertainment for the little ones, and of course, a shucking competition.
If oysters aren’t your thing, there will be sufficient distractions, with Sawmill Brewery joining the event, and Double Dutch Fries.
What better way to spend a Sunday than eating, drinking and shucking?
