HOTEL CHADSTONE ON THE WAY

A new 12-storey, 250-room luxury hotel is set to open in Melbourne next month.

The $130 million Hotel Chadstone will open on November 1 as part of the MGallery by Sofitel collection, complete with a wellness retreat with day sap, yoga studio, and gym. It will house eight conference and meeting rooms, two restaurants, a lounge bar, and a ballroom for up to 400 people.

It will also feature a rooftop cocktail bar with views to Port Phillip Bay and a swimming pool with poolside private cabanas looking out onto the Melbourne city skyline.

Two on-site restaurants will be available, the first of which to be announced is Scott Pickett's Pastore, combining his love of Italian dining and woodfired cooking.

Guest rooms, suites, and penthouses in the five-star accommodation are decked out in teal or blush tones, with custom lighting and brass and leather finishes. Appelles bath products and a minibar stocked with Victorian produce can be found in each room.

Hotel Chadstone was designed by architecture firm DWP, EDGand Australia's Bates Smart, and is managed by AccorHotels. It will join Chadstone Shopping Centre's retail precinct, which has around 24 million visitors annually, an estimated 450,000 of which are international tourists.
