COMO Hotels and Resorts has announced the completion of its seasonal renovations, including the addition of new beach houses at COMO Parrot Cay, a private island resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The five-star resort underwent a number of renovations over the summer months including the addition of two new Two-Bedroom Beach Houses, three One-Bedroom Beach Villas which have been extended into Family Beach Houses, and a new adults-only pool located adjacent to the COMO Beach Club.
The two new Two-Bedroom Beach Houses boast direct access to the island’s mile-long beach, as well as a secluded location. Each house is approximately 1,735sq.ft. in size.
The houses feature two master bedrooms with ocean views, four-poster beds, walk-in closet, and en-suite bathrooms. At the front of the property, a sundeck surrounds a pool and alfresco dining area.
Guests staying in the Two-Bedroom Beach Houses also receive personalised COMO butler service for the duration of their stay, helping plan activities on and off the water from stand-up paddling through the resort’s mangroves or wellness treatments from the COMO Shambhala Retreat.
Three of the resort’s One Bedroom Beach Villas have been transformed into Family Beach Houses offering an additional guest bedroom and a shower room.
The design of the new houses stays true to COMO’s signature style featuring crisp white decorative details combined with light woods and materials. Additional new details include the transformation of the plunge pool into a pool.
Located next to the COMO Beach Club, a new adults-only 25m pool has been built with direct access to the COMO Beach Club’s food and drinks menu and pool service, including local delicacies such as Caribbean conch fritters and a cocktail menu.
After sunset, the ambience switches to a more vibrant soundtrack, complemented by “after dark” cocktails which can be enjoyed around the bar or the beach-side fire pits.
Other offerings at COMO Parrot Cay include the COMO Shambhala Retreat, an award-winning sanctuary. COMO Shambhala Retreat is located in low-lying pavilions overlooking the North Caicos Channel and the island’s wetlands, rich with birdlife. The Asian-inspired retreat features holistic therapies, reflexology, Ayurveda and a number of wellness paths.
Play by COMO, which welcomes kids from age 4 and their families, delivers personalised family experiences. Children are encouraged to enjoy purposeful and creative play including a Catch & Release Fishing programme, tours of the island’s banana plantation and additional activities that educate them on the local culture, nature and other surroundings.
