SUCCESS AT INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

The Saint Clair Family Estate has had great successes at Sydney’s International Wine Competition, bringing home The Wine Society of Australia Perpetual Trophy for Most Successful Winery of Competition in addition to individual wine awards.

This competition attracts entrants from across the globe, with 68 grape varieties from 12 different countries across more than 50 different regions being represented.

The competition is also unique in the sense that the wine is judged alongside food of a similar palate weight.

Three of Saint Clair’s wines were highly decorated, with the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 9 Big John Riesling 2018 being named in the Top 100 Aromatic Wines Category; the Saint Clair Pioneer Block 11 Cell Block Chardonnay 2018 being named in the Top 100 for the Fuller Bodied Dry White Wines Category, and the Saint Clair Marlborough Premium Pinot Noir 2018 being named as a recipient of the Blue/Gold Award in the Pinot Noir Wines Category.

“This year is proving an exceptional year for Saint Clair with our quality wines being recognised amongst a number of leading international wine competitions,” said Neal Ibbotson, managing director. “The consistency in results has come about through the dedicated team approach both in the vineyard and the winery.”
