Sofitel Sydney digitizes self-check-in

Sofitel, Darling Harbour, has launched a new self-check-in experience for guests, strengthening its reputation as a leading innovator in the hospitality industry.

A first for Australian Sofitel hotels, guests at Sofitel Darling Harbour can now check-in, pay, and receive their room key within minutes of arriving using the new digital kiosk.

Sofitel Darling Habour owner Dr Jerry Schwartz is excited about the evolution of this modern check-in process. By “investing in improved technology” which “prioritizes convenience”, Sofitel provides a seamless experience for travellers who want a “revolutionized” experience that is fast and efficient. Schwartz adds that the implementation of self-check-in does not replace human interaction for guests who prefer a “personal touch”.

Sofitel Darling Harbour's General Manager, Greg Brady, said, "Sofitel is ambitious to optimize the guest journey", and the team is fortunate Dr Schwartz is open to implementing new technology for travellers wanting a digital check-in.

The self-service model and convenience the digital kiosk provides extends to the in-room experience Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour provides through the Order Up platform. This platform allows guests to order room service via a QR code located on the bedside table. With this technology in place, hotel employees can focus on establishing genuine connections with guests.
