NZ HOTEL INDUSTRY CONFERENCE 2016

The 2016 New Zealand Hotel Industry Conference will be held at The Langham, Auckland on 1-2 June next year.
The conference, the largest annual event dedicated to New Zealand’s hotel sector, is co-hosted by Horwath HTL Ltd and the Tourism Industry Association New Zealand (TIA). Now in its tenth year, the highly successful conference is attended by managers and stakeholders in the New Zealand hotel sector. The 2015 conference attracted over 300 delegates, including over 30 from Australia. Attendees included hotel managers, investors, developers, hotel chains, government agencies, hotel industry consultants, sponsors and exhibitors. TIA Hotel Sector Manager Sally Attfield says the 2016 conference will feature international and New Zealand presenters and provide valuable insight into global issues, trends and opportunities affecting the New Zealand hotel sector plus business improvement and market advice, as well as time for networking. The conference will culminate with a gala dinner and the presentation of the 2016 New Zealand Hotel Industry Awards which will include an extended awards programme to recognise excellence in key positions in the hotel sector. A trade exhibition will run alongside the conference, featuring around 25 hotel sector suppliers. Delegates will also get complimentary entry to the Hotel Forum and a technical seminar the previous day. In 2015 the interactive seminar discussed new hotel development, hotel investment in Australia and hotel management agreement trends. Both of these events will take place at The Langham Auckland. This year’s conference was a sell-out and Horwath HTL Director Stephen Hamilton said he expects strong interest in the 2016 event.
