Marcus Hotels & Resorts Welcomes Chris Schaefer as Vice President of Food and Beverage

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a property management company dedicated to developing and operating luxury hotels and resorts, has appointed Chris Schaefer as its new Vice President of food and beverage.

Schaefer will be responsible for catering, banquets and over 40 signature restaurants, bars and lounges across Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ diverse portfolio of 17 properties. He will also be overseeing the strategic planning, restaurant design and concepting, and talent development across the company’s range of food and beverage.

According to Michael Evans, President of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the company is excited to welcome Schaefer. “His extensive experience in the food and beverage industry, partnered with his passion for operational success and talent development, will be an asset to our team. We are excited to have him lead Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ award-winning food and beverage concepts and provide extraordinary experiences for every guest who visits us.”

Schaefer graduated with the highest honours from the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts program in Pasadena, California. With more than two decades of experience in the food and beverage industry, he most recently served as Corporate Director of food and beverage at Noble House Hotels & Resorts. In this role, Schaefer was in charge of all food and beverage operations for the company’s portfolio of 20 properties. Before this, he also served as a food and beverage director at Noble House Hotels & Resorts’ Palm Springs in California. 

Throughout Schaefer’s career, he has been reviewed in more than 20 publications due to his success in the industry.
