Five Acres of Luxury Returns to Christchurch

Chateau on the Park - Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton, has reopened its doors, stepping into its true role once again of being a gateway to the Garden City of New Zealand.

Perched on the edge of Hagley Park, the hotel is the perfect tranquil, resort-like haven and the ideal base for trips to Mount Hutt, local winery tours and beautiful botanic strolls in the city.

“We’re so thrilled to be able to offer Chateau on the Park to guests once again. The hotel is very special to us, and we’re excited for everyone to truly experience what authentic hospitality means to Chateau on the Park - Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton,” said Nigel Astridge, Hotel Manager of Chateau on the Park - Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton.

Designed by acclaimed New Zealand architect Peter Beavan, the neo-Gothic-inspired hotel remains one of his last standing masterpieces after several were sadly destroyed in the Christchurch earthquakes.

The hotel is designed around an internal moat and a forest of timber columns made from peeled tree trunks offering a unique experience and a glimpse into Christchurch’s architectural past.

In addition to a stunning weeping willow sweeping across the internal yard and a pristine rose garden, Chateau on the Park - Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton, features a heated outdoor pool, modern fitness room and a free scheduled local shuttle service to the CBD merely 2.9 kilometres away.

The hotel is known for being a go-to for business functions with seven dedicated meeting spaces, 170 onsite parking spaces and a business kiosk to serve guests.

There is something for everyone at Chateau on the Park - Christchurch, a DoubleTree by Hilton - whether it be a lush meal at the Garden Court Brasserie or a convenient hotel stay.
