Radisson Drives Industry with First Ultra-Fast Electric Charging Hub

Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its pan-European electric vehicle (EV) charging network with the launch of its first ultra-fast Electric Charging Hub in partnership with Allego, the leading pan-European provider of EV charging solutions. This builds on the Group's commitment to support e-mobility and grow its network of more than 510 EV charging stations throughout the EMEA region

First announced in July 2022, Radisson's strategic partnership with Allego has positioned the Group as the hospitality choice for EV drivers and travellers with a sustainable mobility mindset. Since the start of the collaboration, Radisson has exponentially grown its Green Mobility network of ultra-fast and regular (AC) charging solutions for electric vehicles to over 220 locations and over 510 chargers in Europe. In addition, the Group has partnered with Sunfuel to install EV chargers in its portfolio of over 100 hotels in India.

The first ultra-fast Electric Charging Hub was revealed in Frankfurt, Germany, as part of the Group's new, edited automotive value proposition to meet the evolving needs of automotive clients for their events and those of their eco-minded consumers. At the ultra-fast charging point, it takes roughly 20 minutes to charge a car, during which customers can attend a business meeting or have a snack at the hotel.

According to research shows, nearly two-thirds of consumers are now sustainability-minded drivers. As a result, automakers must focus on the change in consumer demand and incorporate sustainable practices in the design and manufacturing of their vehicles, with sustainability at the heart of their branding and events marketing strategy. From ground-breaking auto exhibitions to exciting car launches, from grand celebrations to thrilling experiences, Radisson properties are powerful partners in sustainable automotive mobility, hosting successful events for some of the world's largest automotive brands.

As a global leader in green mobility and sustainability, Radisson is driving the travel and hospitality industry forward with extended green travel options in alignment with its commitment to decarbonise the business and achieve net zero by 2050.

Radisson has a long-standing history as a sustainability pioneer and was the first hotel group to introduce a global 100 percent Carbon Neutral meetings programme that automatically offsets the carbon footprint of every event and meeting held at any of its properties by supporting projects that help reverse climate change and encourage sustainable development in partnership with First Climate. Over the past ten years since 2019, the Group achieved a 30 percent reduction in carbon emissions and has offset 30,300 tons of carbon.
