RIU Hotels & Resorts has opened the doors to its third hotel in Costa Mujeres with the inauguration of Riu Latino. Celebrating its 25th Anniversary in Mexico, the chain now boasts a portfolio of 21 hotels at six of the country's most popular beach destinations and in Guadalajara, Jalisco.
The Riu Latino, a five-star establishment with round-the-clock all-inclusive services, offers all guests the amenities and facilities of Riu Classic Hotels, but with the added value of the exclusive service for which the adults-only resorts are known.
Featuring 594 rooms, guests can choose from standard double rooms to suites with views of the Caribbean Sea and luxury swim-out rooms with private pools. All rooms showcase a fresh, understated style with natural, light colours, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
Riu Latino is prepared to indulge all palates with a wide variety of culinary offerings across its six outlets:
- Moctezuma - the main restaurant
- Milan - an Italian restaurant
- Geisha - an Asian restaurant
- Kulinarium - a gourmet restaurant
- Pepe's Food - a grill buffet
- A steak house
The hotel also has five bars:
- Mariachi - the lounge bar with a terrace
- Velvet - the lobby bar Velvet
- A 24-hour sports bar
- Tequila - a pool bar
- Mezcal - a swim-up pool bar
Other facilities include five pools, Splash Water World Water Park, and the wellness centre Renova Spa, where guests can treat themselves to a beauty and hair salon and a massage service.
Located on the beachfront of Bahía Mujeres, guests will be guaranteed entertainment with an array of experiences. From going out on a catamaran to kayaking or taking a beginners' scuba course in the pool. To round out the fun, club Pacha is open from 11 pm to 2 am and hosts various hotel parties, such as the Foam Fest, Silent Disco and Beach Party.
In December, Riu Latino guests can also enjoy the famous Riu Party events at Riu Dunamar. Every Friday, The Riu Get Together Party will be held in the hotel theatre, alternating between the White Party and Neon Party themes.
With the opening of this new hotel, RIU is complementing its hotels in Costa Mujeres, joining Riu Palace Costa Mujeres and Riu Dunamar, both three kilometres away.
