Hilton Hotels and Resorts is rolling out a new programme to offer guests a better deal if staying more than 20 nights.
The new concept, H3, offers a lower midscale solution and will be launched in the United States in the coming months; and delivers an exciting investment option for developers looking to diversify their portfolio under the Hilton name.
Hilton Chief Executive, Chris Natter, said this would cater to the needs of guests who check in for more extended periods.
“Project H3 is perfectly positioned to serve the unique needs of the long-stay traveller, thanks to its innovative design, the strong value proposition for our owners and, of course, the hospitality our team members offer every day,” said Nassetta.
“We aim to serve any guest, anywhere in the world, for any travel need they may have, and this new brand represents a greater opportunity for us to grow our portfolio while providing the reliable and friendly service our customers expect from Hilton.”
Research undertaken by the company suggests that the target clientele for the programme care more about the necessities in a hotel room rather than all the thrills found in five-star accommodation. Rooms in the H3 project are to be designed with a more ‘homely’ theme, allowing guests to go about daily routines whilst delivering simplicity, consistency, and convenience.
Key design aspects of the new concept include spacious apartments that allow guests to cook, work, and rest, with sufficient wardrobe space and bathroom. A non-traditional lobby will also allow guests to have access to amenities.
Chief brand officer for Hilton, Matt Schuyler, said that there had been a drop in guests staying for longer periods in recent years.
“Many long-stay guests never stopped travelling during the pandemic, especially within the lower midscale extended-stay segment, and we designed a product in direct response to this growing need,” said Schuyler.
“Project H3 will disrupt the category and allow Hilton to better provide reliable and friendly service for those who are in it for the long stay.”
