The Sheraton Waikiki has just completed a $200 million room renovation at its oceanfront resort. With breathtaking views of Diamond Head and Waikiki, it sets the scene by the sea and is an ideal home base for travellers visiting Oahu.
The renovation of all 1,636 rooms and suites has brought aesthetic and functional upgrades to guest rooms, hallways, and elevator landings. The guest rooms provide a tailored, curated closet with newly added washlets.
The reconfigured Ohana Suite, accommodating six people, is the ultimate suite for families, featuring two bedrooms, two baths, two balconies, a comfortable living room, a dining table, and a pull-out sofa.
"We're thrilled with the results of the renovations and are beyond excited for our guests to experience the beauty, comfort and aloha spirit that the Sheraton Waikiki offers," said Area General Manager and Managing Director Tom Calame.
With ties to the Original Beach Boys and the Father of Modern Surfing, Duke Kahanamoku, the Waikiki Beach Services also offers rentals for umbrella sets, surfboards, stand-up paddle boards and boogie boards.
Sheraton Waikiki's new Surf Package is a great way to experience the resort and Waikiki Beach Services.
Between surf sessions or for those who prefer staying on land, there are two pools: an adult-only Edge Infinity Pool and a family-friendly Helumoa Playground family pool.
Adjacent to the award-winning Edge Infinity Pool is The Edge of Waikiki, America's best pool bar, where guests can enjoy drinks like the 100M Freestyle, Queens, Canoes, Three's and Four's and Old Man's. The Edge of Waikiki has also unveiled a new lunch menu featuring fresh, locally grown products and healthy ingredients.
As a LEED Gold Certified hotel, it was the first hotel in Hawai'i to offer EV charging stations, water refill stations, innovative timer irrigation systems, indigenous plant species used for landscaping, and recycling all green waste.
Hotel guest rooms have also been optimised for sustainability with smart thermostats, recycled paper products, LED lights, green cleaning chemicals, linen reuse options for guests, and more.
Sheraton Waikiki was named Best U.S. Hotel in the 2023 Skift Meetings Awards, recognising the industry's most respected suppliers.
