HI-SO, SO/ Auckland Hotel's rooftop bar, has launched a new culinary experience, Yakitori Sundays, blending Japanese cuisine with signature cocktails.
Get ready - Sunday brunch plans just levelled up. HI-SO, the rooftop bar of SO/ Auckland Hotel, has introduced a sizzling new experience 16 floors above the city with Yakitori Sundays, a rooftop feast blending Japanese street food, signature cocktails and sky-high vibes.
Every Sunday from 11:30am to 3pm, guests can enter a new kind of clubhouse and enjoy an afternoon of light bites, top-tier tipples and some of the best views Tāmaki Makaurau has to offer.
The lively yakitori station will be serving up options like wagyu bavette, confit pork belly, kransky sausage, and Mt Cook Alpine salmon, as well as vegetarian picks like miso-glazed eggplant, grilled peppers and classic corn on the cob. Starting from just NZD $7 a serve (two skewers) it’s an easy way for guests to mix and match their favourites – and without breaking the bank.
Complementing the station is a sashimi bar with fresh salmon and tuna, served with seasoned soy, daikon, and wasabi. Oyster lovers can also indulge in Clevedon Coast’s finest, perfect for a taste of luxury high above the city.
To elevate the experience even further, HI-SO’s bartenders have curated a selection of Zenkuro sake-infused cocktails, expertly crafted to complement the smokey flavours from the grill. Guests can savour each sip as they take in the breathtaking panoramic views - because great food and drinks deserve an equally stunning setting.
Guests can settle in with smooth vinyl and digital tunes from DJ Uncle Barnie while soaking up the laid-back yet lively vibes. Whether they are stopping by for a quick bite or sticking around for the full session, there’s something for everyone. This is how Sundays should be spent.
