EVENT Hospitality and Entertainment NZ has made a series of recent appointments in general manager and sales roles within the group.
Firstly, national director of sales for EVENT Hotels and Resorts, Tracy Martin, has added national marketing into her role.
To support her two new roles have been added, with Emily Percy announced as the new associate director of sales for Rydges Wellington, and Lucy Andrews taking up the same position at QT Wellington.
At The Thorndon Hotel Wellington by Rydges, Michael Sharp has been appointed general manager. Most recently Sharp worked the general manager position at Rydges Rotorua. Vinicius Bellotti has replaced him as the Rotorua hotel’s new general manager.
Long-standing Rydges employee and Wellingtonian Chad Johnston has been appointed general manager at the newly opened Rydges Wellington Airport.
Jeremy Black has been appointed general manager for QT Queenstown and Rydges Queenstown, returning to New Zealand after eight years in Australia working with EVENT, most recently as the general manager of Rydges Geelong.
These new appointments have created space for new roles like the area general manager for the South Island, Rydges Rotorua and Rydges Wellington Airport, occupied by David Capper.
Rydges Auckland-based James Billing will takeover area responsibility for The Thorndon Hotel Wellington managed by Rydges.
