Accor has signed a new cooperation agreement with Lumiere LLC to open the first ibis hotel in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in 2023. It is the second joint project of Accor and Lumiere LLC, following the recent announcement of Mercure Tashkent, which is scheduled for opening later this year.
ibis Tashkent will occupy a new six-storey building at Shota Rustaveli street, close to Mercure Tashkent. The hotel's strategic location will allow convenient access to Chorsu Bazaar, Eski Shahar Old Town, and main attractions in just ten minutes. For families travelling with children, the Magic City family theme park with rides, playground, cinema, bowling alley, aquarium and food court is also in close vicinity. Tashkent's airport and central railway station are a six-minute drive from the hotel, while the metro station is within walking distance.
ibis hotels are beloved by travellers and locals for their contemporary style, vibrant social hubs, homey rooms, lively bars and delightful dining options. The hotel design will be based on one of the global design concepts of the ibis brand - AGORA. Featuring 150 guestrooms, several shops, a bar, a restaurant, and conference rooms will also be available onsite.
