EVENT Hospitality and Entertainment (EVT NZ) have appointed Lucy Acott as New Zealand Director of Marketing and Carl Amos as Cluster Director of Sales TMC and Key accounts.

Acott started her new role on 1 September 2022, while Amos commenced his role in early August.

Prior to the role of Director of Marketing for New Zealand, Acott initially worked with EVT NZ as maternity cover for the National Marketing Manager role since December 2021.

Acott is based in Auckland with a national leadership remit. In addition to her experience across the business' hotel brands, she has served as the Director of Marketing for Accor and in senior marketing and communications roles with Air New Zealand and British Airways.

According to Tracy Martin, National Director of Sales and Marketing, Acott is an immense asset to the EVT NZ team with her proven track record not only with EVT over the year but with several leading international tourism and hospitality brands.

"She is best placed to lead our marketing strategy moving forward, and her commercial skills and leadership are invaluable to the team."

As the new Cluster Director of Sales TMC and Key accounts, Amos is based in Wellington with a national Key Account remit and impressive background of over two decades in the tourism and hospitality industry, including previous positions at Hospitality New Zealand, Tourism Industry Aotearoa, Air New Zealand and many other hotels and resorts, including the prestigious Starwood Hotels and Six Senses Fiji.

Most recently, Amos served as the General Manager at Mi-Pad hotel in Queenstown. However, he shared that his calling has always been sales and marketing.

"I have a huge passion for the tourism and hospitality industry in New Zealand, and I'm excited to be taking on this national role, growing market share for EVT and being on the ground promoting the exciting news and developments happening in the hotels across the country."

With his fantastic track record of surpassing expectations and building great relationships with his team and external partners, Martin anticipates he is an excellent asset to the existing talented sales and marketing team.
