Hard Rock & Seminole Gaming Surprise Employees with Wage Increases Nationwide

As part of a $100 million company investment, Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming have announced wage increases for half of its workforce at company-managed Hotel, Casino and Cafe locations throughout America.

Starting wages have increased by over 60 percent. The new starting wages range between $18 and $21 an hour, with minimal exceptions – 2.5 times more than the Federal minimum wage and exceeding the minimum wage in each state.

For instance, an entry-level team member in Florida will receive between $8 and $11 per hour above the state's current $10 per hour minimum wage. The hourly rate increase for full-time team members equates to over $16,000 annually above the state's minimum wage, a potentially life-changing pay rise for thousands of entry-level team members.

This recent $100 million investment in its employees is part of an ongoing effort to honour and appreciate its workforce, including paying frontline employees bonuses during the COVID-19 pandemic and other additional benefits. It places Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming at the forefront of the gaming and hospitality industries, among those offering the most competitive wages.

"My career has encompassed over four decades, and I have never been involved in such a historic event," said Jim Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming. "The support the Seminole Tribe of Florida has given me to enhance the standard of living for so many people is a dream come true. We have changed people's lives, and I'm proud to be a part of it."

Over the past several years, Forbes has recognised Hard Rock as one of the Top Employers for Women, For New Graduates, For Diversity and as America's Best Large Employer in the Entertainment and Hospitality Industry. In the 2022 Casino Gaming Executive Satisfaction Survey, Seminole Hard Rock and Hard Rock Online Casino were also awarded Employer of Choice.

Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming continue to invest in programmes that empower and support their team members' professional career advancement by offering unique benefits, such as tuition reimbursement, mentorship for women, and more.
