Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has launched ‘Autumn Melodies Afternoon Tea’, with new items in the hues of marigold orange and primrose yellow, illustrating the shift from the warm European summer to the gentle, cool winds of autumn.
The ‘Autumn Melodies Afternoon Tea’ session takes place in the hotel’s luxuriant Lobby Lounge, with an elevated 14-metre-high ceiling and beautifully decorated with lamps and a flower centrepiece. As discerning palates indulge in Executive Pastry Chef Franck Istel’s delectable selection of sweet and savoury items, renowned harpist Ms Tong-Juan Wang will light up the atmosphere every Wednesday to Sunday with an autumn song list.
The afternoon tea features 14 delicacies appealing, both sweet and savoury, created from iconic favourite autumn ingredients, such as pumpkins, hazelnuts, pistachios, honey and lemon.
The dining experience begins with the ‘Mont Blanc’ chestnut purée in the form of vermicelli, topped with whipped cream; chocolate hazelnut ball, chocolate shortbread; half-sphere lemon lime cake; wildflower honey mousse, white chocolate ‘honeycomb’; and pistachio cherry madeleine. This is followed by quail egg and black truffle choux; salmon and dill rillettes cannoli; smoked duck and pumpkin mustard cream tartlet; foie gras and chicken mousse cannelé, berry compote, roasted hazelnut; and the mini taco prawn cocktail.
Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok’s signature scones complete the afternoon tea, coming in three classic flavours – vanilla, coffee and matcha green tea – served with homemade blood orange curd, clotted cream and strawberry vanilla jam.
The noble Tea Master Ging Nipaporn Hanwichai has carefully selected some exquisite bespoke Ronnefeldt tea to pair well with this golden afternoon tea launch.
The ‘Autumn Melodies Afternoon Tea’ will be available daily from 21 September until 23 November 2022 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Lobby Lounge and Hanuman Bar, located on the ground floor of Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.
