Opening in February 2023, Nesuto Docklands Apartment Hotel has announced Damon Lunardello as General Manager. The apartment building is the first new-build of the Daiwa Living Nesuto group opening in Victoria.
Damon’s management experience expands across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, with over 25 years under his belt. He understands all facets of the industry, such as accommodation, food and beverage, gaming and sales.
“I’m very excited to be part of the Nesuto Hotels team to launch the group’s first Victorian property in my home state and a market that I know well,” Lunardello commented. “Nesuto Docklands will be a flagship hotel for Nesuto, showcasing the latest and best of the Australian brand, and we can’t wait to open the doors to guests.”
Additionally, Lunardello came from a background in real estate sales and worked as a successful business broker specialising in hotel leaseholds and freeholds. Lunardello has also performed several speaking engagements for students as a member of the William Angliss Course Advisory Board. He has also held industry positions on HMAA and Holmesglen Industry Advisory Board boards.
Lunardello has worked with local and international hotel brands, including Radisson, Park Plaza International, Bayview International, Quest Apartment Hotels, and TFE Hotels. During this time, he was awarded ‘Best in People Development’ and ‘Hotel Manager of the Year.’
As the first apartment hotel in Melbourne, Victoria, Nesuto DOcklands adds to the collection of existing properties in other locations such as Canberra ACT, Geraldton, Perth, Sydney, Parramatta, Pennant Hills, Central Coast NSW, and Auckland, New Zealand.
