Langham Hospitality Group has announced that its new CEO will be Bob van den Oord, succeeding Brett Butcher who is stepping down from the role.
Butcher, who became CEO in 2021, a role he had held seven years before. He will remain as CEO of Langham Hospitality Investment Ltd, as well as retain responsibilities within Great Eagle Holdings.
Bob van der Oord has been in a senior role at the Langham Hospitality Group for the past two decades, and has previously held the offices of Senior Vice President of sales and marketing, and Chief Operational Officer. He currently holds the role of Regional Vice President for Europe, North America, and the Middle East. He will officially start in his new position on September 1st, 2023.

Dr. KS Lo, Great Eagle Holdings Chairman and Managing Director has described van den Oord as a dynamic business leader with a diverse background and an excellent track record of delivery in the hospitality business.

Lo also thanked Butcher for his leadership, which he said was visionary.
