IHG Announce New Property in Cambodia

In partnership with Odom Living Co. Ltd, IHG Hotels and Resorts has unveiled its plans to build the next instalment of its Vignette Collection to Cambodia’s capital city, Phnom Penh.

The Vignette Collection is IHG’s first luxury and lifestyle collection brand and is planned for its debut in Phnom Penh in 2027 with a 50-room hotel. It is set to occupy the top seven floors of the Odom Tower. This is the second IHG property to open in Cambodia, following Six Senses Krabey Island.

IHG Hotels and Resorts vice president of development in South East Asia and Korea, Patrick Finn, said the brand is already growing quickly in many international markets.

“It’s the perfect choice for partners seeking a distinctive identity for their hotel while benefiting from our global scale, systems, and expertise as the world's second-largest Luxury and Lifestyle hotel operator,” said Finn.

A restaurant, rooftop bar, lobby lounge, swimming pool and fitness centre are all planned to be featured in the new development, as well as a members-only private club and four meeting rooms. Founder of real estate developer ULS, and Odom Board chairman, Kim Leang Kean, said the new hotel will be a major attraction for the city.

“Phnom Penh is a vibrant city with a rich history, incredible architecture, mouth-watering food and a unique culture, and we believe that Vignette Collection Phnom Penh Odom will further enhance its status as a must-visit destination,” Kean said.

“The Vignette Collection brand experience of authentic one-of-a-kind stays, each with its own distinct outlook and story to tell, is perfectly suited to attracting the next generation of travellers to this thriving city. Surrounded by an exciting mix of upmarket retail outlets, office spaces, hotels and residences, it will quickly become the place to be for visitors and locals alike.”

Finn said that the collaboration between IHG and Odom Living had worked well to bring the Vignette Collection to Cambodia and that further plans could be on the table for projects in the future.

“Since launching in 2021, Vignette Collection has opened six properties in destinations including Brisbane, Bangkok, Porto and Washington, and grown a pipeline of 15 outstanding hotels.”

IHG anticipates a rapid expansion programme over the next ten years to reach 100 Vignette Collection properties worldwide.
